Success Stories
Nick Flores
Counter Sales Lead – Major Long-term Local Construction Project, Los Lunas, NM
Nick joined White Cap seven years ago in the San Jose location’s warehouse. The team there was like family. That made it easy for him to soak up product and industry knowledge from experienced Account Managers, Branch Managers, Manufacturer’s Reps and Contractors during the five years he worked there.
When he got an opportunity nearly two years ago to move into sales running a store in Los Lunas, New Mexico on the sprawling Facebook job site, he jumped on it. And it was like he never left California. He fit in immediately and now spends most days double-checking incoming deliveries, getting pricing for customers, fielding email-and-phone orders, researching special product requests and walk-in traffic – never a dull moment.
But one of the things Nick likes the most is how your team and company are always there for you when you need a helping hand. Whether it’s the great benefits, the company’s employee resources or just the lively, healthy workplace culture, he knows they always have his back.
Cheryl Burmester
Account Manager – Rancho Cordova, CA
You’d be hard-pressed to find much that Cheryl hasn’t seen during her 33 years working in the construction industry. Since joining White Cap in 2009, she’s been helping pro contractors across Northern California get their jobs done.
She’s a self-described problem-solver who understands that the Devil’s in the details. Cheryl knows if she does her job right, details will stay details instead of becoming project-stopping headaches. That means making sure everything from keeping up with new products, applications, and regulations to stocking the right inventory and getting it to the customer when and where they need it is taken care of without a hitch.
Cheryl understands that her customers have a choice, and she has to earn their business every day. But being a White Cap Account Manager gives her all of the resources, buying power and capabilities that come with being a nationwide industry leader. With that in her back pocket, her customers are in good hands.
